SOME GREAT services we provide!

Our Monthly Auctions offer thousands of different objects and allow Items to be sold and bought rapidly. For the Seller, this means an easy and a reliable way to get articles the best price of the day.  Auctions offer many opportunities for Buyers: You may attend the auction on site, in advance online and by telephone during the auction.

Whether you wish to sell a single piece of art, a large collection, or the contents of a house, there are a number of ways to have your property valued by a Helander expert: You may arrange for a free Estate Assessment or ask for an Auction Estimate either online, by e-mail or at the Auction House. Whichever way You choose, Helander can guide you through the entire auction process.

Attend a pre-auction viewing. It’s free of charge and all are welcome. On Monthly Auctions Helander installs works for public viewing one day before the auction for seven hours and also on every auction day for two hours before the auction starts. On Evening Auctions the public viewing starts five hours before the auction starts. At our showrooms, you also have the opportunity to speak with a gallery specialist in-person.

The most effective and precise valuations are made on site where our specialists can make a careful inspection of your item(s). You do not need to book a time, and you are welcome to visit us on weekdays between 12 pm and 5 pm or on Saturdays between 10 am and 2 pm. The Consignment of Good(s) is also not possible during National Holidays, Open House or Auction.

You can browse through the catalogues online. The Monthly Auction Catalogue will be published on the previous friday prior to the auction. The Evening Auction catalogue will be published on the previous monday prior to the auction. To find a specific item or see what’s available in your category of interest, enter a keyword or phrase into our Lot Finder search bar. Helander has thousands of pieces from which to choose in categories from jewellery to fine art to Chinese works of art.

What do you do when you have a house full of items you no longer want or need? Getting an Estate Assessment done from Helander can help you decide the best course of action for you to take. Having someone with knowledge of reselling antiques and collectibles go through your house with you helps a lot. An assessment usually takes less than an hour, and at the end of it you’ll know what you can sell versus what should be donated or discarded. Sweepout: If the house or basement needs to be completely emptied,  trash and sellable items alike, a sweepout is an option. The assessor will give an estimate for the auction house’s labor costs to remove everything from the house. This option is popular for people who have recently sold a house or have a deceased relative’s estate that needs to be dealt with.
